• Charlie Kuntz Scholar Awards

    Award Description

Created in memory of neurosurgeon Charles Kuntz IV, these new scholarships are awarded annually to the top 30 neurosurgical residents or fellows who author outstanding abstracts detailing a laboratory or clinical investigation in the area of spinal disorders. Individuals in both MD and DO training programs are encouraged to apply. Award winners receive an honorarium.

Winning abstract authors will deliver their oral presentations during the scientific program and be honored at the Young Neurosurgeons dinner where they will receive their award certificate and honorarium.

Kuntz scholars are also invited to submit their completed manuscripts to either Neurosurgery or the Journal of Neurosurgery: Spine for expedited review and publication consideration. (Note: Kuntz scholar manuscripts are not guaranteed publication.)
