• Learn More about New Ad Campaign by Physicians United for Patients

    The American Association of Neurological Surgeons and the Congress of Neurological Surgeons, in collaboration with a dozen other medical societies, have launched a multi-state public outreach campaign in opposition to the current healthcare reform bill in the United States Senate, the “Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act.” As part of the Physicians United for Patients coalition, the AANS and CNS in December 2009 issued print and radio advertisements in key states, urging constituents to tell their Senators to vote “no” on the current healthcare reform bill.

    The member organizations of Physicians United for Patients include: the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery; American Academy of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery; American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons; American Association of Neurological Surgeons; American Association of Orthopaedic Surgeons; American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopedics; American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons, American Society of Breast Surgeons; American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery; Arthroscopy Association of North America; Congress of Neurological Surgeons; National Association of Spine Specialists; Orthopaedic Trauma Association; and the Pediatric Orthopaedic Society of North America.
